Eyefall, 2013
Eyefall depicts a painted up subject, part theatrical, part zombie, donning a bad wig and fake eyes that continuously fall, the endless repetition creating humour and unease. The painted body appears abject as it peels and flakes, the wig and lipstick a parody on the female obsession with beauty. The image depicts an artificial reality that continuously eludes and collapses, the attempt at seeing futile and ironic.
